Privacy Policy 1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information Marvel Chat may process to provide communication, community, skills, marketplace, notification, and security features. It is written to describe the product experience in clear language and should be read together with the Terms and Community Guidelines.
Privacy Policy 2. Information provided by members
Members may provide account details, display names, usernames, profile biographies, profile images, locations, professional information, store information, product information, and other information that members choose to place into the service.
Privacy Policy 3. Authentication information
When an account is created or a member signs in, Marvel Chat may process information supplied by the chosen authentication method, including an email address and account identifier. Authentication providers may maintain their own records under their own policies.
Privacy Policy 4. Profile and identity data
Profile information helps members recognize one another and helps the service display identity consistently across Home, Chat, Skills, Market, and Profile. Members should avoid publishing information they do not want other people to see.
Privacy Policy 5. Content and interactions
The service may process posts, comments, reactions, saves, Moments, messages, service listings, requests, offers, reviews, product listings, commerce requests, and related metadata necessary for those features.
Privacy Policy 6. Private Chat
Chat information is processed so authorized participants can send, retrieve, and manage their conversations. Access controls are designed to limit private conversation information to authorized participants.
Privacy Policy 7. Moments and temporary content
Moments may contain text and, when the secured media workflow is enabled, media. Moment records may include creation and expiration information used to control their active lifetime.
Privacy Policy 8. Marvel Skills
Skills features may process provider profiles, categories, listings, requests, offers, completion states, reviews, and related activity needed to connect members with providers.
Privacy Policy 9. Marvel Market
Market features may process seller details, product descriptions, category information, inventory and availability states, commerce requests, product reviews, and related seller or buyer activity.
Privacy Policy 10. Device and notification data
When browser notifications are enabled, device and browser details and notification tokens may be processed so supported notifications can be registered, delivered, disabled, and maintained.
Privacy Policy 11. Technical information
The service may process technical signals such as timestamps, browser context, authentication state, application-integrity signals, request information, and error information needed to operate and protect the service.
Privacy Policy 12. How information is used
Information may be used to provide requested features, maintain accounts, support messaging, display community content, run Skills and Market workflows, deliver notifications, personalize relevant experiences, and protect the service.
Privacy Policy 13. Security and abuse prevention
Information may be used to detect suspicious activity, protect accounts, enforce access controls, reduce spam and misuse, investigate security incidents, and support moderation and safety processes.
Privacy Policy 14. Infrastructure providers
Marvel Chat may rely on trusted infrastructure and service providers for authentication, data storage, server-side application logic, media delivery, hosting, analytics, communications, or security. Access is limited to the purposes required to operate the applicable service.
Privacy Policy 15. Firebase infrastructure
Marvel Chat uses Firebase services for parts of authentication, data storage, callable application logic, and related security controls. Firebase services are subject to their own terms and policies.
Privacy Policy 16. Media infrastructure
Where supported, media may be transferred through the secured media workflow and storage infrastructure used by the service. Server secrets and privileged storage credentials are not intended to be exposed to the browser application.
Privacy Policy 17. Retention
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain security, support legitimate business needs, resolve disputes, protect the community, maintain records, or meet applicable obligations.
Privacy Policy 18. Account deletion
When an account-deletion process is offered, requests may be handled through the supported account workflow. Certain records may need to remain for security, fraud-prevention, dispute, transaction, or legal reasons.

Content intentionally published in public areas may be visible to other members or visitors according to the feature and its visibility controls. Public content should be created with that visibility in mind.

Marvel Chat may be accessed from different countries. Information may therefore be processed in locations used by our infrastructure providers, subject to applicable requirements.

Marvel Chat is not designed to encourage use that violates applicable age or eligibility requirements. Additional safeguards may be introduced as the service evolves.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, infrastructure, operating practices, or legal requirements change. The latest published version should be treated as the current version.
